FAQ

-How do I order?
Once you have found the perfect piece of jewelry for your inclusions, simply message me on Facebook and we’ll go over your order one-on-one. If you have questions about my inventory, please reach out. I’m always happy to answer any questions you have!

- What is the turn around time to receive my order?
Once I receive your inclusion, it can take anywhere from 6-10 weeks until you receive your unique jewelry piece. This time can vary depending on the number of orders I have pending and time of year.

-What is an inclusion?
An inclusion is anything you would like to include in your keepsake. It can be a variety of thing, such as breastmilk, ashes, hair, umbilical cord, fabric from special occasions or sand from a vacation. Anything that is meaningful to you can be used as an inclusion.

- How do I send my breastmilk to you?
Once an order is placed, you will receive an email with an address to ship your milk and detailed instructions on how to package your inclusion. Please make sure to write your full ordering name and order number on the storage bag, triple/double bag your inclusion and send it in a bubble mailer. Milk must be sent already thawed and at room temperature before packaging in the bubble mailer.

- Do you offer refunds, returns or exchanges?
Unfortunately, I do not. Due to the nature of the jewelry and personalization of each piece, I do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges. However, if your piece is damaged due to processing error, I will work with you to make sure you receive a piece you can cherish for years. Please contact me directly to let me know if you are unhappy with your piece. My goal is to create a piece that you absolutely love. Simply let me know what you are unhappy with, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs.

- How do I care for my jewelry?
Please refer to the Caring for Your Jewelry page! I can also email or message a copy of the Caring for Your Jewelry sheet that goes out with each order. Simply request the info and it’s yours.

- Can I customize my milk gem with options not listed?
Absolutely! The design of your milk gem is completely customizable. Please provide details of your request at the time of your order and we’ll make it happen. An extra fee may be required, depending on the request.

- How much milk do you need?
Please mail 15mls for a single piece and 30mls for a jewelry set. This ensures I have enough milk for your order.

- What type of metal do you use?
All jewelry on hand is currently 925 sterling silver. The jewelry I use will not turn your skin green or cause sink irritation. Some pieces do come in 14k gold but will require slightly longer turn around times to accommodate special ordering.

- Can I use milk that is frozen or from years ago?
Yes! Any milk will work (frozen, thawed, old, or fresh). Milk does not have to be suitable for consumption when being used to create jewelry. However, please be sure it is free from any mold as this can wreak havoc on the preservation process and decrease the longevity of your milk gem.

- Will my milk still be good once it gets to you?
Yes! Your milk should not go bad in transit. However, if it happens to spoil, I can still work with it! We just want to avoid any milk with mold.

- Will my milk gem turn colors over time?
Your milk gem should not turn color over time if you are following the care instructions. I use high-quality resin that resists discoloring and is UV resistant. Also, your breastmilk has been completely preserved so it will not turn colors inside of the milk gem. With this said, your keepsake jewelry is made with resin and all resin can yellow over time. To increase longevity, please follow the care instructions provided with your finished piece. Most of my jewelry is made with 925 sterling silver and it can tarnish over time. It is recommended to clean sterling silver with a polishing cloth to remove tarnish. Rose gold and gold plating can wear off over time as well.

- Do you ship internationally?
Yes. I do charge an additional $10-$15 rate fee for international shipping to offset shipping costs.
- Can you use human or pet ashes in my jewelry?
Yes! I can use either to create your memorial piece! Please send a tablespoonful of ashes with any other inclusions you’d like to use and I will return any remaining ashes I do not use.
